More than just filing the numbers

Your year-end accounts are an important part of running a limited company, but they shouldn't simply be prepared, filed and forgotten about.

We'll prepare your annual accounts and Corporation Tax return, but we'll also look at the figures behind them. If there's something we think you should know about, or an appropriate opportunity to improve the company's tax position, we'll explain it in straightforward terms.

And if everything already looks as efficient as it reasonably can be, we won't suggest changes simply for the sake of it.

What we'll take care of

  • Annual statutory accounts

We'll prepare your company's year-end accounts from its accounting records, ready for your approval and filing.

  • Corporation Tax return

We'll prepare the Corporation Tax computation and Company Tax Return and submit the required information to HMRC.

  • Companies House filing

We'll prepare and submit the appropriate annual accounts to Companies House.

  • Your Corporation Tax position

We'll explain how much Corporation Tax is due and when it needs to be paid.

  • Tax efficiency review

We'll consider whether there are appropriate opportunities to reduce the company's Corporation Tax liability and discuss them with you where relevant.

  • Year-end discussion

We'll highlight anything arising from the accounts that we think you should know about and answer any questions you have about the figures.

When are limited company accounts and Corporation Tax due?

For an established private limited company, annual accounts are normally due at Companies House nine months after the company's financial year end.

Corporation Tax is normally payable nine months and one day after the end of the Corporation Tax accounting period, while the Company Tax Return is normally due 12 months after the end of the accounting period.

These are the usual deadlines for an established private limited company. Different rules can apply depending on the company's circumstances, including for first accounts.

Already using accounting software?

If you already keep your records using Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent or Sage, we can work with the records you already maintain when preparing your year-end accounts.

If you'd rather have more support throughout the year, we can also help with bookkeeping, VAT returns and payroll.

Thinking of changing accountant?

Changing accountant doesn't need to be complicated.

Once you've decided to appoint Baldwin's Accountancy Services, we'll explain what we need from you and contact your previous accountant for the professional handover and information required to take over your accounts and tax affairs.

The aim is to make the change as straightforward as possible for you.

Support throughout your company's journey

Year-end accounts are only one part of running a limited company. As your business develops, you may also need help with bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, Companies House requirements or changes to the company itself.
